Most of these poor schmucks are probably taxi drivers, indigents, working joes etc who got picked off the street at gunpoint. They were shot and someone puts a “this was a Gulf/ Zetas/ Sinaloa” sign in front of their bodies. I’d imagine it’s very dangerous to hunt real narcos. They’re not traveling anywhere without assault rifles, body armor, 2-3 armored SUVs with radios, backup. There’s no way they’re going to surrender alive knowing the torture/beheading/castration that awaits them. No one likes getting shot at and risking their lives hunting other cartel guys, not even hardcore traffickers.

Since there is no line between normal and psychotic behavior, they are the same. Thus, carving up some guy like a turkey is a normal and acceptable behavior.
