Mainstream Economists Unable to Discuss Economics I am shocked.. wait, are they not the “new priests”.

Blogging and the tyranny of government The government is keeping you safe.. from bloggers (never mind the real “evildoers”).

Last week two bloggers, Steven Frischling and Chris Elliot, were visited by TSA agents and threatened with jail time if they did not reveal their source of the TSA Travel Directive that they each published shortly after the attempted terrorist attack on Christmas day.

Ten Lessons (Not?) Learnt A good summary.

This Is The Government: Your Legal Right To Redeem Your Money Market Account Has Been Denied Your elected officials are working in your best interests, trust them.

Yet new regulations proposed by the administration, and specifically by the ever-incompetent Securities and Exchange Commission, seek to pull one of these three core pillars from the foundation of the entire money market industry, by changing the primary assumptions of the key Money Market Rule 2a-7. A key proposal in the overhaul of money market regulation suggests that money market fund managers will have the option to “suspend redemptions to allow for the orderly liquidation of fund assets.”

While a substantial portion of my blog traffic still comes from posting links to articles on other blogs (thank you guys!) an increasing amount is now coming from search engines like google and bing.

The terms used to reach my site and their rank is pleasantly surprising..

A few examples:

“escorts make more sense than getting married” (#1 on google & #1 on google blogsearch)
“escort reviews”(#1 on google blogsearch)
“using escorts” (#4 on google & #1 on google blogsearch)
“how to use escort/s” (#4 on google & #1 on google blogsearch)
“real women escort” (#12 on google & #1 on google blogsearch)
“using escorts while single” (#2 on google & #1 on google blogsearch)
“how do women feel about escorts” (#13 on google & #1 on google blogsearch)

The relevant posts are here:

I was not aware that search engine algorithms could pick up relevant blog postings so quickly, especially on new blogs like mine. I am starting to feel that we are approaching skynet territory faster than we thought.

On another note, it is interesting to see that some of my arguments (posted on this blog) are now used on economic forums (with links).

I would like to thank my readers and would welcome more input on topics/ directions/ newslinks/ links to other blogposts etc.

I won’t bite, and as long as you are not using your replies to expose identities, plot attacks etc.. I do not care. Heretics are welcome to agree or dissent with me.

Here is a clip from the movie “Equilibrium” (1:38 long).. watch carefully from 0:45 to 1:20. If you have not seen the movie, you will not understand its implications. However that particular segment in the movie is intimately linked to my previous post. If you have seen the movie, you will know why.. if not, rent that movie or watch it online.
