Income Profile of Japanese “Herbivore” Men

I am sure that you have read many articles about how the 20-35 age group in Japan are becoming herbivores.

For much of this decade, the older men who drove this country to the top of the economic league tables have looked on in bewilderment at the foppish antics of the generation below. Japan’s twenty- and thirtysomething males seem disinterested in careers and apathetic about the rituals of dating, sex and marriage. They spend almost as much on cosmetics and clothes as women, live with their mums and sit down on the toilet when they pee. Some have even been known to wear bras. “What is happening to the nation’s manhood?” wonders social critic Takuro Morinaga.

Many pathetic dying white morons ascribe this change to soya, testosterone levels or other self-congratulatory bullshit. Some aging and dying white femfists welcome this as men “reconnecting with their feminine side” and other assorted nonsense.

The answer lies in the income and job prospects of that generation of men. While these men are the most educated generation in Japanese history, they have no real prospects of a permanent job or decent income.

According to a story in the japanese language magazine- Weekly Diamond more than 80 percent of 35-year-olds in Japan live on a yearly income of two million yen (US $20,000) – a key poverty benchmark. I have mentioned this in a previous post, but it deserves to be repeated.

An online English language article on the same trend- Income of young Japanese women tops that of men

Income for single women under 30 hit an average of 218,156 yen ($2,680) a month in 2009, edging above the 215,515 yen ($2,640) of their male counterparts for the first time ever, according to an Internal Affairs ministry survey. The change, which saw women’s incomes surge 11.4 percent from the previous survey five years ago compared to a 7 percent fall for men, was driven by the plunge of the global economy and the fact that men’s incomes simply had more room to fall. “Basically, men’s salaries were much higher in general, and they took a much bigger hit when the economy worsened,” said Hideo Kumano, chief economist at the Dai-ichi Life Research Institute.

Averages, but not median, numbers are distorted by the top 20% effect.

Ask yourself a simple question- If your temporary job paid less than 2,000 USD per month, you lived in Japan and had no real chance of career advancement- would you care about what society thinks about you?

The apparent disinterest in sex with “real” women is also easy to understand. Japan is a society with ubiquitous and inexpensive technology, high-speed internet access and a tolerance for a variety of sexual interests. In contrast, Japanese women are supremely greedy, status conscious and manipulative ball-breakers. It certainly does not help that they are into rationing sex within marriage at the best of times.

So what would YOU choose? Disengaging from such a dysfunctional social system or trying to play an obviously rigged game with no worthwhile rewards.

Only CONservative and LIEbertarian brainwashed white men are stupid enough to play games rigged against them.

And the Japanese herbivores aren’t rioting like the youth in Egypt, they are holed up in their parents’ apartment, quietly withdrawing from society. Similar situation, two opposite reactions.

Also, it seems as though wherever women earn more money than men, economies stagnate. Women lose much of the incentive to have a family when they can provide for themselves.

No, you’re wrong. The majority of women want to reproduce and have children. It’s written in their genes. It’s the men who don’t want to be tied down in a marriage and working full-capacity in order to support a family for the rest of their lives.

Exactly JST. Why be tied-down to some needy, greedy pussy & bratty kids, working full- to overtime, when wifey takes your income & spends it on whatever anyway. The government takes the rest & spends that on gold-plated pensions for the wealthy, numerous elderly, one of whom probably owns the building you live in & the stock of the company that offshored or downsized you.

It’s called slavery for a reason.

I will say this though. When women become equal to men educationally and economically, their standards go through the roof and the average man isn’t “good enough” for them. At the same time, these women become career-oriented and lose most or all of their femininity in the process, and this phenomenon makes the women look less like marriage material and more like mere sex objects (ironic, eh?).

Thus, a woman’s hypergamy makes her picky beyond reasonable standards. Only around the time women turn 30 do they get desperate and then the men her age or older usually become smarter and more cynical. Thus, women who wait it out until their 30’s are making a precarious choice.

So yeah, women do lose interest because they marry UP, while men can marry up, down same, or upside down (yes, sex is fun). But women have the power early in life.

Their hypergamy will result in fewer men paying into the pension pots for the older generation.
So women now can have a chance to exercise filial piety.
And them oldies need to set up the men with women they are attracted to that aren’t bitchy, if they want some cash coming their way.
Heh heh, I’m looking forward to see that happen, since the “man up” nonsense is just goading from those expecting the men there to take up a crappy deal.

The lack of career prospects is one side of the coin. The other side is the fact that in Japanese establishment society, career means everything. Might explain why things aren’t quite as bad in the U.S.: here, establishment society (grudgingly maybe) accepts that there are other things besides career and money…

It’s no coincidence that Japan is probably the biggest producer of toys, games, hobbies, porn and disposable fiction. That is what young men retreat too when society stifles their “real prospects”. Conversely in less affluent societies, there is less Gundam collecting and more rock throwing.

I read some articles about that now. What you said

“Japanese women are supremely greedy, status conscious and manipulative ball-breakers.”

is a very good explaination of that. Japanese women are like somes others women I know… Curiously the same trand are emerging where those others women live. A growing number of men are no longer interrested to them, many men clearly avoid them. There as in japan women of that generation have higher pay and are more educated. Women have better jobs and more security.

My idea is that in a culture where they have no place, where they are tell they are worthless, where they are seen as a bad, violent, abusive, etc. Men have only one option droping out. They have no reason to do anything, they have no hope of anything. They can only try to have some fun when they can.

Context in Japan and here are similar, Exception of cultural differences the consequences will be similar.

Japan is dying, the next generation will be very few…Their culture will probably colapse completly. We are Next.

Correction: the productive and civilized people in the US (middle-upper middle class Whites, East Asians and Jews) will not reproduce enough and the country will be taken over by Hispanics. When that happens, the US will devolve into a developing country or divide into tribal factions.

I’ll be in China enjoying the decline with a cocktail.

“Japanese women are supremely greedy, status conscious and manipulative ball-breakers.”
Seems to be an extension of LMS (Looks Money Status):
The only men that the vast majority women have a problem with treating like human beings, are the ones that aren’t goodlooking, rich or respected – or that other women don’t respect (approval by committee)

In short, when a woman is attracted to a man – his deficiencies don’t matter.
when a woman is NOT attracted to a man – his advantages don’t matter.

I don’t think feminists have any idea of what their “equality” has actually cost society.

Japanese population growth has been declining for 40 years and, according to the World Bank, was in the negative in 2009. When there is no incentive for men to be productive, they will choose not to participate in the system.

The media doesn’t recognize it but the revolt has already started in the West. But instead of marching in the streets Western men are simply staying home.

Isn’t that incentive … tied towards how much a man can earn though?
And since, Japanese would rather hire women than men for entry-level positions (of course, the entry-level positions that men get hired for are 4D – dirty, demeaning, difficult, dangerous jobs) … and the women get influenced by feminists that “the man must earn more”, and their demands for the guy increases the more he isn’t like Chad Thundercock, we can see how it all ends:
sexbots for men, vibrators for women (most women won’t pay for a sexbot, they’re cheapskates)

Unfortunate, but all too true. It appears to me the smartest thing we men can do is to fend for ourselves, and let the “supremely greedy, status conscious and manipulative ball-breakers” fend for themselves. Let them play solitaire.

Yeah, they already have and they also have the one-child policy. China’s population is expected to decline around mid-century.

Of course, the West may be overrun by brown folks by then.

Ah yes, China is number one once again.

I think this article is misdirected towards women. Women are just reacting to the status quo. I guess when Japan’s economy crashed, women were in a better position. Women have made far strides that should be praised. They/we have had to navigate through this system (set up mostly by politicians & the elite;mostly men), to stay afloat. It has been fortunate for women in Japan, that they put themselves in a position to stand the storm.
What incentive do women in general have, not to be ball busters? Lower pay, lack of promotions, working harder for less money? I think it is a double standard; that when women are bold and do the same things men do to advance and stand firm in their careers they are labeled. Maybe it’s time for society to evolve and move towards a society that is more equal socially, rather than being equal legally. Women can be seen as equal counter parts in the work place as well as the home. Men can be care givers and it is okay for women to earn more than men and be the bread winners. But why is it in our society these things matter so much? Whether a man is earning or a woman is…are not they partners? We need to evolve and maybe Japan is slowly evolving and allowing women and men to be without societal norms. Though many will suffer to get to this better place, if we self reflect as a society and stop blaming the opposite sexes and recognize that most of this is all influnced by the upper elite classes, that prefer man vs woman, black vs white, Jew vs Christian, etc Divide and Rule, so they can keep the status quo.

That was a mainline of hopium, wasn’t it Crush. I imagine in your mind, there’s an endless tape reel of Coca-Cola’s “I’d like to teach the world to sing.”

It’s not that your ideals are so wrong, it’s that in trying to make every outcome “fair” and everyone’s fortune “equal”, you destroy more than you improve.

You need to wake up to reality. And keep your ideals off my body.

      1. Women are marked more leniently by men in almost all universities, since the majority of courses are in the humanities … which is full of women (psychology is called “The Estrogen Ghetto”)
      2. Not every man gets to succeed even if they have the qualifications – they need more e.g. Tall, Handsome, Preferably White
      3. Women are bold around men they dislike, they turn into putty when they’d like to be reamed by Chad Thundercock.

“income of young japanese women tops that of men”

There is the explanation. Young japanese women are focused on their careers, not on being housewives who care about the men, children and family.

The young japanese women are competitors to the men, not loving partners.

How many Japanese women are in porn? Or gainfully employed in dead-end jobs?
In Japan, as in many other countries worldwide – few homeless women, many homeless men.
Explains how “income of young japanese women tops that of men”.
“Focused on their careers”? Then why are they so worried about not being married after 25? Konkatsu … exists for a reason.
