Why Hate People Who Have Many Kids?

I have seen a tendency amongst many people to hate or condemn those who have many kids. I simply do not understand such behavior.

Let me explain-

I am not interested in having kids because of their negative impact on my lifestyle- plus child support is expensive.

However I do not resent somebody who wants to have kids for satisfying some instinct or “filling a void” in their life. That is their choice and as long as we both can choose our paths- it is fine by me. I do not support somebody deciding whether someone else is fit to have kids or not.

Human history clearly shows that people who have unconstrained power over others become tyrants and mass murderers irrespective of era, nation, race. I would rather take my chances in a world with more ‘welfare moms’ than some credentialed tyrant inhabiting a zero-sum mental world.

Few things revealed more hypocrisy than the “Octomom” “scandal”.

One pet peeve of mine is the trope: “Wait ’til you’re financially ready before having children!” HINT: 99% of the people hearing this trope (or invoking themselves to justify not having kids) live in extravagant luxury as compared to almost all human parents throughout history (or even in the modern world).

Agree! You either want to have kids or you don’t. Let everyone make their own choices.

No welfare moms, but more Duggars and Yitta Schwartzes. Look them up.

Yitta Schwartz was a Hasidic Jew. Any New Yorker could yell you about the various scams that Hasidic Jews use within the welfare system. IOW, she’s the matriarch of 2000 extra welfare recipients. Yay.

Aren’t the Duggars on welfare? And did you know that many Ashkanazi Hasidic Jews of Brooklyn themselves are on some sort of welfare like foodstamps, medicaid, etc.

yes, the duggars take food stamps IIRC.

It is NOT “their” choice because they are involving another person (the child) who did not ask to be born and they are imposing life, suffering and death on that person without his consent.

Human history clearly shows that people who have unconstrained power over others become tyrants and mass murderers irrespective of era, nation, race.

Parents have the power of a tyrant over children, because children are slaves.

You either want to have kids or you don’t. Let everyone make their own choices.

Precisely, let everyone make THEIR OWN choices, and stop imposing their choices on OTHERS.

We think children are people, too.

My complaints about people who have many children is that as a tax payer, I am subsidizing the children of other men over my own children. I would not mind people who have many children if they lived in a country where they got no tax breaks or other monetary benefits from the government like free housing and welfare.

The very last sentence… stings. But that proves the ability to pick the lesser of two evils, which is pure win.
