Are “Certified” Nutritionists Murderers?

July 1, 2011 11 comments

The distinction between homicide and man-slaughter often comes down to judging whether the perpetrator was aware of their action’s effect. Let me illustrate that point with an example-

A fatal car accident caused by bad judgement alone is not considered as serious as one caused by drunk driving, which in turn is less heinous than deliberately causing one. We are far more repelled by those who knowingly kill or hurt others, than those who do so by accident. Let me extend this concept of culpability into a different direction.

Many official government policies and subsidies on food are affected by the opinions of those considered to be official “experts” in nutrition. These people have, over the last 40-odd years, espoused views and promoted ideologies which call for people to eat less fat, protein and more carbohydrates.

Paradoxically the incidence of obesity and metabolic illness has also skyrockted during that time.

These scumbags defend their policy by saying that “people are not following their guidelines properly”. But isn’t that rather similar to people saying that Stalin did not represent true communism, or the current kleptocracy in the USA not representing true capitalism?

While I am not suggesting that people should live on meat only and avoid all carbohydrates, it hard to ignore that the incidence of metabolic illnesses has a rather striking association with percentage of calories coming from carbohydrates. By their own calculations, there has been an increase in the percentage of calories from carbohydrates from about 50% to almost 60% during the same time period when the rates of obesity and metabolic illness skyrocketed.

It is worthwhile to note that populations with similar percentage intakes of calories as carbohydrates (Mexican, Indian) also coincidentally have a much higher risk of portal obesity and metabolic illnesses. Could it be due to magic, genetics or something as mundane as chronic high carbohydrate load?

But returning to the point about nutritionists- aren’t they supposed to know better? Why support and stand behind something that hurts people in a very obvious way. Is it for profit? Is it for conformity of for some other reasons?

Let me put it this way- either they are stupid or they are malicious. Since most of them do not see themselves as stupid, we have to assume that they are malicious and their professional advice is meant to deliberately hurt and kill people.

Hence it is very plausible that “certified’ nutritionists are murderers.

Humans Deserve To Live In Dystopias

July 1, 2011 11 comments

One of my most important insight about human beings came years ago, when things were awful and bleak for me.

Humans deserve to live in dystopias.

During my life, but especially during that period, there have been many people who could have helped me (in various ways) for zero to negligible costs. In almost all cases they knew the nature of my needs.

But they didn’t.

Some of you might invoke all sorts of bullshit explanations about evolution and kinship, but guess what- most humans alive today do not live in small tribes. I would argue that most people have used indoor plumbing for fewer years (last 100 years) than they have lived in cities (thousands of years), but today we don’t look at people taking a crap on the street as normal.

That is why I believe that people deserve all the bad things which happen to them. Whether it is people suffering from chronic diseases, dying of terminal disease, being maimed by accidents, wars to more mundane things like being ass-raped by divorce courts, laid off at 50-something- they all deserve it. In every single case, you will be able to find examples where they did not help others even when it’s cost to them would have been negligible.

and no- it was not due to social policy, tradition or culture. This behavior arises from their own mental worlds and is the reason behind its universality.

The most bizarre aspect of this mentality is that people who didn’t do squat for others and let them suffer undergo a sudden change of heart when their luck runs out. They suddenly want compassion, help, understanding, sympathy, rationality and a host of other things they never gave to others. While this behavior is most pronounced in sociopaths, even ‘normal’ people exhibit it at high levels.

In my opinion, this behavior comes from feelings of invincibility, superiority and deserving their station in life.

and that is why I find human suffering, pain and death to be amusing- the vast majority of people truly deserve every single bad thing that happens to them.

Inconsistencies In The Story Of Dominique Strauss Kahn’s Accuser

July 1, 2011 7 comments

By now you probably know Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been released without bail. For someone who was lynched by the media and popular opinion it seems that the course of events have vindicated his version of the story.

Let us now have a better look at how Nafissatou Diallo lied.

Item 1

While she had originally claimed that after the attack by DSK she “fled to an area of the hallway of the [Sofitel’s] 28 floor,” where she waited until Strauss-Kahn left and then contacted her supervisor, the D.A.’s office claims she has admitted that was not the case. After the supposed attack in suite 2806, the chambermaid actually “proceeded to clean a nearby room and then returned to Suite 2806 and began to clean that suite before she reported the incident to her supervisor.” The victim/accuser had, under oath, described the fake sequence of events to the Grand Jury.

Does that sound like the actions of a raped and emotionally distraught woman to you?

Item 2

Strauss-Kahn’s legal team has hired the world’s best private investigators to ferret out every detail about the accuser’s past. They have unearthed photographs of her drinking and partying, despite her professed Muslim faith, sources told The Post.

Oops.. There goes her defense of being a ‘good’ Muslim woman, and brother is certainly not helping her case by shooting his mouth.

“I categorically refute the accusations that my sister was involved in drug dealing and money laundering,” the brother said from his home in Conakry, the Guinean capital. “We are the descendants of very pious Muslim scholars, we cannot let ourselves get carried along by the easy gain of money. My sister even refused to sell cigarettes when she was here with me in Conakry around ten years ago when I ran a cafe.”

Somehow her lifestyle in NY was, should we say, less than pious. Did I mention that part about a ‘fiance’ who was a drug dealer and all sorts of shady money transfers.

Item 3

Prosecutors disclosed that the woman had admitted lying in her application for asylum from Guinea; according to the letter, she “fabricated the statement with the assistance of a male who provided her with a cassette recording” that she memorized. She also said that her claim that she had been the victim of a gang rape in Guinea was also a lie. The woman also acknowledged that she had misrepresented her income to qualify for her housing, and had declared a friend’s child — in addition to her own daughter — as a dependent on tax returns to increase her tax refund.

She lied about rape before to get asylum in the USA, she lied about her income to qualify for public housing and she lied about the number of dependents to increase her tax refund from the IRS.

The funny part is that she is feigning ignorance about, or trying to explain away, many of her lies.

That man, the investigators learned, had been arrested on charges of possessing 400 pounds of marijuana. He is among a number of individuals who made multiple cash deposits, totaling around $100,000, into the woman’s bank account over the last two years. The deposits were made in Arizona, Georgia, New York and Pennsylvania. The investigators also learned that she was paying hundreds of dollars every month in phone charges to five companies. The woman had insisted she had only one phone and said she knew nothing about the deposits except that they were made by a man she described as her fiancé and his friends.

Do you seriously expect me to believe that a woman with a maid’s income is unaware of 100,000 dollars going through some of her accounts? And what is up with those huge phone bills? are they really phone bills? and how could she be unaware that she was paying hundreds of dollars per month to several phone companies?

The billion dollar question is- Could any average, or even moderately rich, guy have been able to defend himself like Dominique Strauss Kahn?

What does that say about the so-called justice system in the US, or in many other so-called civilized countries?
