Have You Ever Experienced A Paranormal Phenomena?

Let me begin by saying that I have always been a skeptic of everything and anything. However I have known people and even had limited experience in the past with stuff and occurrences that are just too odd and peculiar. We are not talking about full body apparitions, UFO abductions or stuff that is really out there.

Ok.. let me give you two examples.

1. I used to a lot of amateur astronomy in the past. Over the course of many years, I have seen a few objects that were just really odd and hard to explain. We are not talking about flying saucers or aliens, but more mundane stuff such as artificial-satellite like objects that just change direction far too quickly and abruptly. Let me clear about one thing- I have spent thousands of hours looking at the sky through binoculars and telescopes. I know what things as diverse as stars, faint comets, meteors and satellites look like under a variety of atmospheric conditions. I also know enough physics and engineering to say that currently available technology is essentially incapable of doing something like that.

Moreover, I have seen such objects very infrequently- like a few times in many years of looking up with binoculars and telescopes. Initially I dismissed them as some secret technology, but when I look back it is hard to dismiss the possibility that they were of non-terrestrial origin.

2. I am deeply skeptical of the idea of ghosts, spirits and that sort of stuff. However there have been a few instances when I felt something really odd about a couple of places without any reason to feel that way. I also later found out that others who have visited the places in question at different times also felt something odd. Now I can certainly entertain the idea of electro-magnetic fields from equipment giving you a weird feeling of someone else being around you- expect that the places I am talking about had no such equipment.

While I can dismiss individual experiences as borderline hallucinations, it is hard to ignore cases where people who have never met each other go on to experience very similar odd sensations of not being alone in a given place. This is especially the case if there are no electro-magnetic appliances or similar things in or around the place where the events occurred.

What do you think? Comments?

Yep. Was in Greece at the time and my mother was visiting her uncle who was under the care of nuns in a monastery. She wanted me to take a picture of them and I had an old Polaroid instant camera (this was in 1986). Anyway I hit the butting and nothing happens. The camera worked fine before and everything seemed in order. Try it again and nothing. A while later I go outside to look around and was fiddling with the camera when I pressed the button and it worked. So I go back inside and tell my mother it works and to get ready for a picture. Again, the camera went silent. Nothing, nada. Well I go back outside but this time I’m pressing the button on the camera while walking and about 20 feet from the entrance to the building, the camera would work. Never had any issues with the camera after that but it would not take pictures inside that building unless I was about 20 feet away from it.

What’s the name of that building in Greece?

It was a monastery about 45 minutes outside of Athens. Don’t recall the name. Do remember that there were hills all around.

        Was it Mount Athos?

I have had intense experiences from psilocybin…

still my craziest “trip” was when I had a high fever… I thought I was pure energy traveling through the universe….

as far as number 1, maybe they were eye floaters….

Very unlikely, as I have an extremely good idea of what floaters look and behave like.

They recently had an article about this on Cracked.com regarding the feeling of ghosts. A scientist discovered that there is a very low frequency that our reptilian brains will respond to with fear. This frequency is close to the sound frequency of a tiger or animal roar so it makes sense.

The other thing the scientist found was that this same frequency will vibrate the lens on a person’s eyeball. If there are any scratches on said person’s eye the scratch will appear as a transparent blur. This is believed to be were the trope of a ghost being see through comes from.

Oh one other thing, this scientist discovered this because this interns said they reported seeing ghosts in a corner of his lab. He discovered that the A/C system in that particular corner of the lab was producing the sound.

Regarding UFOs, this is probably the best book on the subject especially for skeptics. It will at the very least cause you to question mainstream scientific views regarding the phenomenon. No fluff no bullshit.

Day after day, the true face of Shit’s Advocate is getting clearer and the mask is falling.
Now, his subliminal message is about nonexistent “UFOs” and “paranormal activities”. Through this subliminal message he’s preparing everybody for what’s to come.
It remains for the brainwashed suckers here to see him for what he is.

he’s preparing everybody for what’s to come.
Feel free to show us your theories.

If you can’t see any patterns in Shit’s Advocate’s writing, then you are missing the whole picture.
There are no theories, there are information which you can look up on the internet, and it’s up to you to judge the veracity of the info through comparison.

Something stands as a theory … until disproven.
If you’re not going to disprove his theories … they still stand.

        P Ray,
Shit’s Advocate must be very proud of himself as the trick he’s pulling is working fine, as proven by your reply.

His advice, I’ve observed it works for others too.
        One goes with what works.
I notice you have not provided any counter-advice, beyond “His advice is shit”. Compelling argument there.

You have no idea about what I’m talking about.

Nope, no animal spirits here. The closest thing is reading some beyond normal stuff on some blogs. When a person gets out of D.C. they can see normal things again. It’s been said that if a “space ship” tried to enter earth they would not be able to because of so much “space junk,” … unless they are “really super fast” (lol).

Personally, I’ve had 2 instances where I’ve witness UFO-related activity and I mean literally, I could not identify what I saw. The 1st instance was when I was in middle school (my memory isn’t THAT great), but anyway, my cousin and I were sitting outside on our pantry (separate from our house) where we were talking when I noticed a bright object moving in the sky. It was at dusk and it was overcast and it being at a distance, couldn’t tell what it was. Oddly enough, no sound was being generated. Since I live in a small town, sound should’ve been audible but none was heard. It was going north and judging by it’s speed, it still had quite awhile to disappear over the horizon. So anyway, as my cousin and I were chatting up, I would glance from her to the object every few seconds and after doing this a couple of times, the UFO disappeared. I thought it was very strange and explained to my cousin this phenomena I just cousin and now, after reading of some accounts of other sightings, it seems that perhaps I might’ve spooked it. Yes, I believe in aliens but am also accepting of logical explanations and no, my belief in aliens isn’t a fanatical one. In the 2nd instance, I was riding in the back of my sister’s car, passing through Santa Barbara when I looked out the window and noticed a weird off-color white oval-shaped object. This was sometime in the mid-afternoon so there was still light out and the sky was relatively clear so my view was just fine. I kept it in sight for a few seconds but not long enough to get a definitive view but it was traveling as the same speed of my sister’s car, so I could notice it’s shape and that it’s flight path was a bit wobbly. Being that I was young and held a more elated perspective of aliens so of course the 1st thing I thought was “ALIENS!” As we kept traveling I hoped to see more of it but as soon as we passed under a bridge it just vanished. Also so, I must note that it was not at a very high altitude, in fact it was lower than a helicopter’s altitude. I turned around and searched to sky for it’s location but alas, it was for naught. This thing, if it were a conventional aircraft, I should’ve have easily caught sight of it after passing under the bridge (it was only a 2-lane bridge) but I didn’t and I’m thinking that was foreign origin. Of course, 1 can’t be certain but still, these occurrences have stuck out in my mind ever since (I’m 26 now) and don’t mind sharing about them.

For psychic stuff, I recommend you read “Travels” By Michael Crichton (same guy who wrote Jurassic Park, Sphere and The Andromeda Strain). Thats his autobiography and he goes over some psychic experiences he had. Most importantly, I dont see any vested interest in him lying about it.

I have seen a real UFO/top secret flying machine up close, I was about 20 meters away, in the western Australian desert, I like your blog that’s why I’m telling you, I was working in a building about 100 meters from the edge of the desert which stretches for 1000s of kilometers , I walked outside in the middle of the night, I was at work , I started taking a piss, my body I think like the heat signature was hidden because the inside of the building had unique heat inside, so I’m outside taking a piss I look up to my left and on the other side of the building I was working in about 10 meters off the ground and kinda floating in the buildings general direction, I see what looks like a helicopter, middle of the night dark outside, I stare at it while I’m peeing, but no propellor on top, totally silent, but inside the cockpit was a bright light, the body of the machine was black ,absorbing light, but bright light in cockpit, so I start staring for the pilot, I’m staring in and I start waving with my free hand, I’m staring into the light trying to see the pilot but all I see is a really bright light inside, then I see a second small light , I realize the machine is rotating slowly and has a tail or whatever like helicopters have but with no propellar spinning at the back, it seemed like once it saw me it started turning it tuned till it was facing way from me thenslowly started floating / hovering away then boom took of at like top speed and it was gone , I guesses as soon as they realized there was a witness they got out of there. It all happened in less than one minute and was surreal before I had time to register in my brain what I was seeing it was over. The real question i have realised is why were they/it outside our building, and why couldnt i see a pilot/human in the cockpit .True story man please reply

My biggest worry is the people, who own this technology will find out I’m writing this and be pissed off either with me for witnessing or with who ever was in charge, for being seen, the machine kinda floated in the air and moved more like a whale in the ocean than plane or helicopter clearly clearly it new technology the public down know about, I will draw a picture, I looked up top secret helicopter in Google and nothing really matches what I saw but these are a few similarities I was make a image and link it some how.
