An Example of Video Game Capability: The Last of Us Remastered

I found this particular clip sometime ago when I was browsing YouTube for 2014 gameplay compilations. As you can see, the remastered version of “The Last of Us” looks pretty good and the game is reasonably interesting as well as gory.

What do you think? Comments?

Incidentally, I played through The Last of Us: Remastered quite recently. Yes, the game does look interesting. However, it is a prime example of form over substance. The actual gameplay is rather unvaried, the puzzles are insultingly stupid, the combat not fluid enough to be enjoyable by itself. The copious amounts of gratuitous violence get old pretty quickly. Even the emotional manipulations in the cut scenes are blatantly obvious. Still, the presentation is top notch, and there are enough pseudo-intellectual segments in conversations, such as superficial criticism of consumer culture, as well as several passages that pander SJWs — the DLC Left Behind is even worse in that regard — so that it is of little surprise that this game has become a darling of video game journalists.

Enjoy the “why is the girl so thin” dialogue (at 1:05):
