End of Mueller Investigation and ‘Trump-Russia-Putin Collusion’ Bullshit

Unless you have been living under a rock since Friday morning, you must have read or heard that the Special Counsel investigation aka Robert Mueller’s investigation of Trump’s alleged collusion with ‘Russia’ and ‘Putin’ during the 2016 presidential election is finally over. While an executive summary of its findings should be available sometime this weekend, it is noteworthy that there are no new open or “sealed” indictments. Which is a fancy way of saying that the Special Counsel has not been able to indict one single person from Trump’s presidential campaign, including the orange buffoon himself, of collusion with “Russia” or “Putin”. Every single person who has been indicted by Mueller’s team has landed in that position because of criminal actions unrelated to 2016 campaign or committing perjury. In other words, the establishment democrat/s desire to see Trump impeached has taken a massive and unrecoverable hit.

Even worse, they have finally validated Trump’s defense of this investigation being unfair and a ‘witch hunt’. Way to go, dumbfucks! Of course, there are still tons of dead-enders who keep babbling about “SDNY” and other similar bullshit. But let us get real.. the majority of people will now no longer believe in the results of any future investigation of Trump. In fact, just over 50% of Americans were seeing it that way before the Mueller investigation wrapped up– without a single indictment for collusion with Russia. It is now increasingly likely that Trump will use the report as an important plank of this campaign for re-election in 2020. And you know what.. if establishment democrats are stupid enough to rig their primaries (like they did in 2016) for a corporate-anointed loser such as Biden, Beto or Kamala- he might actually win in 2020.

Matt Taibbi has written an excellent post about how Russiagate is contemporary equivalent of the WMD fiasco of 2002. In it, he goes into considerable detail as to how a bullshit “dossier” written by a greedy British hack and paid for by the DNC started one of the most darkly comic chapters in recent american history. I would strongly suggest you read his entire post- even if it is a bit on the longer side. While the circumstances surrounding the start of this investigation, which began around June 2016, are almost too comical to be real- it keeps getting better and more absurd. Taibbi also skewers all the national news outlets, “respectable” journalists, cable news anchors, talking heads, Twitterati and “celebrities” who got into the act- if only to make a quick buck. Once again, I strongly suggest you read his post- preferably more than once.

Moving on.. the obsession of establishment democrats with ‘Trump-Russia-Putin’ is now going to get much harder to justify. But don’t worry, I am sure that they will find a few new ways to fuck themselves by focusing on something which the majority see as hacky partisan bullshit with no connection to the worsening quality of their lives. Between this pile of bullshit, renewed calls for “gun control” and mouthing empty platitudes which deceive nobody in 2019, they will find a way to lose to that orange buffoon in 2020. And let us be honest about something.. establishment democrats would rather lose to Trump than defy their corporate masters and campaign on popular policies such as universal single-payer healthcare, student loan forgiveness, higher minimum wage etc which might actually get the majority of voters to elect them.

I might write another post about this topic soon, preferably after reading the executive summary of the Mueller Report. Till then, have a look at the hysterically comic bullshit which was being passed off as real journalism by cable news networks- narrated by the always funny Jimmy Dore.

Actually the most annoying thing about this “Russiagate” was that even if it had been true, that would’ve only meant the Russians had used the tools the US had routinely used for decades. The other thing is that even after a cursory look to Russian foreign policy it should be obvious that they want some kind of compromise and a peaceful “living together”, and they are extremely careful with their deeds and words, and more so regarding the internal matters of their “adversaries”.

going by how deranged alot of both establishment dems and “justice democrats” are, it’s not out of the question that they start trying to investigate MUELLER for collusion with the Russians. After all, his report said Trump didn’t collude so it’s obvious russian interference to protect Trump…

    The cover up is working.

There’s a sucker born every minute and the Trump gang has perfected the art of separating suckers from their money. The big story here is how the US Government and the Justice Department is being corrupted before our eyes to serve Trump rather than the people or the constitution.

To be fair, you cannot corrupt something which had always been riddled with corruption and malfeasance. Second point, nobody is arguing that Trump is a street-smart grifter. But he is no strategically thinking genius. Trump = real life version of George Bluth Sr. from ‘Arrested Development’.

What has happened to your vaunted critical thinking ability?

Well.. as it turns out, I was right- once again! Just like I correctly predicted DPRK would succeed in developing thermonuclear warheads as well as ICBMs, HRC would lose to the Orange Buffoon, Trump’s administration would be a shit-show of epic proportions and the Mueller investigation would lead to nothing of use to establishment democrats.

All we have seen is a summary of what the Mueller report says written by an Attorney General who got his job from Trump because he wrote op-eds attacking the Mueller investigation and a memo saying it was impossible as a matter of law for a president to obstruct justice. The whole purpose of that summary was so all the Trump useful idiots could run around doing the Russiagate Fake News Chicken Dance.

Perhaps you might want to read the part where Mueller explicitly says that he could not find any evidence of collusion between Trump and those dastardly “Russians”. Or just look at the front page of today’s NYT..

Have fun dancing while the Trump gang steals you blind.

As I have repeatedly said, I would love to see the orange buffoon lose in 2020. But establishment democrats are doing their best to ensure his victory. Don’t believe me? Look at how they are promoting Beto (Obama’s cover band) and other phony HRC-like neoliberals (Kamala Harris, Corey Booker etc). And now they have given him the proof he needs to shout from the rooftops that he is being targeted by the “deep state”. Way to go..

“Perhaps you might want to read the part where Mueller explicitly says that he could not find any evidence of collusion between Trump and those dastardly “Russians”. Or just look at the front page of today’s NYT.”

The Barr letter quotes the Mueller report as saying that the investigation”“did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

After almost 2 years, hundreds of subpoenas, thousands of search warrants.. they could not find anything usable.

That is a very different from what you just said.

    Functionally identical..

Barr’s letter is carefully worded to leave the impression that Mueller found nothing. Barr was appointed attorney general specifically because he was willing to do all he could to protect Trump. This letter is part of the cover up.

Do you seriously think Barr is stupid enough to sacrifice his own future for Trump? Barr may be many things, but his self-preservation instincts are pretty strong. He is not the type to jump in front of the bus for somebody else, let alone Trump.

Reporters have been asking the special councils office if they endorse the Barr letter as a fair summary of the report. The special councils office has declined to comment.

If that was really the case, we would have seen leaked versions of the report all the internet- by now. Also there are no more indictments (open or sealed) coming from that particular investigation.

We already know that through out the 2016 campaign while Trump was saying nice things about Russia and Putin he was pursing a real estate deal in Russia that would have been worth hundreds of millions of dollars to him and would have required Putin’s approval. Trump lied over and over again about this deal. (Note, I don’t think the Russians were ever serious about this. They just kept dangling it in front of Trump so he would keep saying nice things about Russia.)

Because Trump thought he would lose in 2016.. He probably never expected to be president until the results started coming in. Of course, he was pursuing deals in many countries- including Russia.

We already know about the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting where representatives of the Russian government offered the Trump campaign dirt on Clinton and asked for sanctions relief. Trump and his campaign officials lied over and over about the Trump Tower meeting. If a Democratic candidate had taken that meeting, Republicans would already have built gallows on the national mall for their execution. Even Steve Bannon, Trump’s later campaign manager, called that meeting treasonous.

And yet nobody from the Trump campaign has been charged for collusion.. Also, the Russians purposely sent his son-in-law’s request by a system which they knew would be intercepted. And still.. Kushner has not been charged.

On the last day that he was still campaign chairman, Paul Manafort gave Trump campaign internal polling data to someone believed to be a Russian intelligence asset. I suspect that Manafort did this on his own with no authorization from anyone in the Trump campaign hoping to get money from his Russian friends.

Polling data is not really privileged information- especially since Trump was barely even in most polls. Also the person you are referring to has worked for Russia, Ukraine, USA and god know who else.

Does any of this prove collision or conspiracy? That is a high legal bar. My believe is that the Russian’s kept sending these feelers out to the Trump campaign, but the Trump campaign was too disorganized to actually collide.

And you know what.. that is what might have occurred. But my point still stands- Mueller’s vaunted investigative team could not prove that Trump’s colluded with Russia. And that is what matters, because it was the central accusation. Without that accusation, Trump is just another corrupt politician- aka nothing special.

“Reporters have been asking the special councils office if they endorse the Barr letter as a fair summary of the report.”
Do you seriously think that the report does contain anything valuable, and Barr purposefully falsified it in the summary?

“We already know about the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting where representatives of the Russian government offered the Trump campaign dirt on Clinton and asked for sanctions relief. ”
Now we have a quite clear and unanimous knowledge of that “meeting”. So, no, we don’t “know” what you allege. “They” were not the representatives of the Russian government. It was a single person, actually a lawyer, who represented private businessmen (“oligarchs”) who wanted sanction relief for themselves. She (the lawyer) didn’t offer anything specific (not to mention dirt on Clinton). The whole “meeting” was 30 minutes, and it was a single occasion, without follow up.

Just keep doing the no collusion chicken dance. Helps to identify all the Trump useful idiots.

People would believe the collusion story if a single person in his campaign or family was actually charged for “colluding” with Russia to influence the 2016 election. Has that occurred? If not, why not? Were Mueller and his colleagues incompetent or was there no evidence to make that particular case?

Look.. nobody is denying that Trump is a corrupt and narcissistic buffoon who has almost certainly committed tons of illegal acts while he was in the commercial real-estate sector. But that was not the focus of the Mueller investigation. It was about whether he was a traitor- and the evidence for that is.. well.. lacking.

Anyone who cannot see what is going on now, is just one of Trumps useful idiots. Remember that the Barr letter actually quotes the Mueller report as saying “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”

Anyone claiming the Mueller report exonerates Trump is just gaslighting you.

I agree, but I don’t this affects AD’s conclusion that, in the absence of any charges of collusion, the vast majority of people are going to think this means Trump and his administration have been basically exonerated. Trump is gaming the system to his advantage and pulling the wool over peoples’ eyes nonstop, but at the same time peoples’ tolerance and acceptance of his various antics and doings is extraordinary. This will be no exception.
